Our stone boulders are a perfect focal feature in an outdoor space because of their durability and colour. The creamy tones are often selected for older properties, and will complement any rustic cottage garden.
What’s more, if you want to stop traffic entering your land or to mark a no through road, you may want to consider our large boundary stones. Through the ages, stone has always been used to mark territories and borders. Mined from our family-owned quarries, these limestone blocks only dissolve one-twentieth of a centimetre every century, so you can be sure of a long-lasting, durable choice.
Where do we source our stone?
Our Lincolnshire limestone was formed way back in Jurassic times, making it one of the oldest building materials available. It’s not surprising that our premium grade limestone is often specified for use as it’s guaranteed to outlast almost any other material.
Stamford Stone, an additional family-owned business, owns and manages two quarries in the famous Lincolnshire oolitic belt – Clipsham Bidwell and Clipsham Medwells. These quarries produce our premium grade stone boulders. If you are planning to incorporate stone boulders in your next garden project, contact us today and talk to our stone experts.
