Nowadays, with the huge variety of sizes, finishes and materials available, tiling looks great (and can be a hygienic, practical choice) in virtually any room. But you’re still much more likely to see tiles on the floor – and often the walls too – in kitchens and bathrooms, than anywhere else in the home.

Kitchen tiles have come a long way since the small plain ceramic tiles which were the only option 20-30 years ago. That’s a good thing too – because the popularity of open plan living means that our kitchens have never been more on show than they are today.
