The look and feel of the 'pillowed' limestone we chose has had nothing but praise from our friends and guests. The natural fossiliferous marking is beautiful and makes the floor a real feature compared to both ceramic tiles which are bland to the eye and to the imported tiles that we had seen.

Although more expensive than many imported limestone products, it is - in our view - a much better product as well as being a greener option and from a UK producer. We visited the company, after receiving a sample, to see the different limestones they use; and have found them easy to deal with and helpful. 'Pillowed' Lincolnshire limestone is a delight to both look at and walk on - especially with underfloor heating; highly recommended.

We were fortunate to work with an accomplished and innovative architect who created the design and led us through the maze of decisions, including the choice of materials and selection of suppliers.

We wanted the house to blend with the older local properties yet be different. The team achieved this with the choice of natural stone and solid oak and they created a sympathetic fusion of traditional and contemporary architecture.

The development is completed with curved limestone walling extending around the front and rear of the garden, which contrasts with the lines of the house, creating a well-defined setting: a modern stone building with an accent on tradition - everything we wanted for our new home.
